Persuasion in Opinion Essay

I have to think about who would disagree with this right who would disagree and why why would they disagree why would they object to this idea right well probably the airlines or the government right would would have problems with it and they would maybe have a problem because they they might lose money or they have to spend money right so the question is like why why do you have to think about this and and we’ll go into more detail about this kind of thing probably in another class I think this the whole opinion essay topic is probably going to take two lessons to get through.

But really what you want right you’re like that like that picture it’s nice you want a balanced argument you want to you want to consider both sides yeah Raphael says if ret if he’s the owner of the aircraft company the Treasury doesn’t agree exactly right so you want a balanced you want to look like you have a balance argument like you have considered both sides that you’re not just thinking about this side but you’re looking at both sides because that will make your argument that will make your opinion si stronger if you consider well who would disagree why would they disagree okay if you’re just focused on your own opinion then you might not consider some pretty strong points that people could use against you or to kind of criticize your your argument okay now this concept will come back to all right now the next question is what is my goal what is the goal of the essay well the we know the purpose is to persuade but what are your goals okay and for that you have to think about how are you being marked how are you being assessed in this on this essay okay now your goal is to present a focused and logical argument okay.

A focused and logical argument which means coherent and cohesive sentences Ezequiel you got a question coming in is a possible ego wants to study abroad mmm I’m not I don’t entirely understand the question as you kill can you get can you be a little bit more specific with that with that question okay okay so back to this we your goal is to present a focused and logical argument with coherent and cohesive sentences and again I’ve got a whole lesson on cohesion and coherence if you want to check that out your goal is to show critical thinking right to show that you have you have thought about this issue this topic and then of course if you are a language student if this is for IELTS if this is for TOEFL okay fluency is something you want to consider so the range of vocabulary you want to you want to have a range of vocabulary and you want accuracy and a range of grammar grammar grammatical structures okay so you want to use different sentence types different structures of grammar to show that you can use a range of different structures but correctly okay so that’s the goal.
