Can You Juggle between Work, College and Fun?

All over North America, thousands of students start attending college every year. Whether, it is an ivy-league school, a 4-year university or a community college. Every year, thousands of young adults embark on a journey that is full of fun, friends, love, stress, and studying all of which render planning, good organization skills and prioritizing essential requirements.

Most of these students already know how to study in ways that are comfortable for them and they also know how to have a good time. However, what they do not know, or are not familiar with, is how to juggle a lot of things all at once and excel at each.

For those of you who have to work while you are trying to complete your degree are possibly the ones who are having the hardest time with it all. You are young, vibrant, and most of you can be a tad irresponsible at times which is a given and almost a right at your age. However, there are ways you can cope with all of the stress and responsibilities. A well-planned and organized schedule will help you in all of these aspects of your life.

First of all, you have to get your priorities right. You are a student thus your first and most important responsibility is your studies so you have to have a study plan that you can stick with. You have to have specific times and days where you can revise and keep up with everything which should consequently revolve around your class schedule and work schedule.

Secondly, in order to have the energy to have such a strict plan and actually be able to stick with it, you always have to get a good night’s sleep which should at least be for 6-7 hours. If you have a very clear and organized schedule, you will be able to tell your friends or your boyfriend/girlfriend when you can hang out with them and have a good time. It is Saturday and you want to go out tonight? Do it. However, know when you need to go home and wake up at a reasonable hour the next so you can catch up with whatever you need to catch up with that day.

This may all sound boring and like something you would never be able to pull off but believe in yourself and know that all you need to do is know that your school and job come first. When you are able to grasp the importance of your job and your studies in your life, you will be responsible enough to keep up with both and yet still have plenty of time to be young and to have a ton of fun which is also what you need when you are in college.

You are not expected to be an A+ student and the employee of the month every month but do what you need to do as an employee and as a student and you will see that life is not an ultimatum.

You do not need to choose between being fun and irresponsible and hard-working plus responsible. You can have it all.
